eleos and first baptist church of orlando have teamed together to host a banquet recognizing the support ministries in our central florida community and faithful persons who have given time, talents and financial support to encourage “Connections” with the disability community.
we want to thank the many ministry and agency members who attended the Central Florida Connections Banquet sponsored by Eleos’ Lift Network April 4th. The evening was co-sponsored by the First Baptist Church of Orlando with a generous gift by Ruth Carroll in loving memory of her brother Harold.
the 200+ in attendance were inspired to connect through laughter, music and inspired speakers. among the groups and businesses that made the evening successful were Special Olympics, Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida, Circle Christian School, The Orange County ADA Council, Disabled & Alone, Manheim Auto Auctions, Canine Companions, Reformed Theological Seminary, The Toni Jennings Institute, and The University of Central Florida's Institute for Simulation Training. several central florida faith-based organizations joined eleos in leading a connections example including Nathaniel's Hope, Bishop Grady Villas, The Special Gathering, and Jeff Steinberg Ministries
the highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2006 Connections Awards
